Botanik is structured as a focused studio — a small core of senior leads who work directly on every engagement, supported by trusted engineering specialists engaged on a project basis. You get experienced judgment at every stage, not just at kickoff.

Founder & Product Lead
Robert has spent 25 years leading product at organizations where the stakes were real and the complexity was high. At The Home Depot, he held senior and principal product roles across supply chain, professional services, and digital — including work that touched thousands of contractors, suppliers, and internal teams who depended on software that had to work. He founded Botanik because he kept seeing the same problem: businesses running on tools that almost fit, with their best people spending time on work that should be automated. He specializes in diagnosing operational friction quickly and designing solutions that teams actually adopt.

Rachel Wiecking
Head of User Experience
Rachel brings rigorous research practice and human-centered design to every Botanik engagement. Most recently at Concrete, a UX consultancy, she led research and interaction design for clients including Cambia Health, Google, and Intel — conducting deep qualitative research and translating complex findings into interfaces that real people can actually use. Earlier in her career she worked with civic-minded organizations and nonprofits across Portland, including the Oregon Historical Society and World Wildlife Fund. Rachel's work starts with understanding how people actually behave — not how they're supposed to — and designs from there.
